Re: Review of our Constitution
Dear Harrisonian,
For a number of years, the Old Harrisonian Society has been dedicated to improving the welfare of students and staff both past and present of Harrison College.
We recognize that in order to achieve our goals in the changing societal and cultural environment, the Society must ensure that its machinery is such that we are in a position to meet the needs of our members and beneficiaries.
The opinions on how the Society works and how it can be improved are many and varied. Now you have your chance to make your voice heard as we embark on a journey of Constitutional Reform.
We are seeking your general feedback on the Society and how you think the Constitution can be improved to make the Society work for its members. We would also appreciate your views on:
A. The name “Old Harrisonian Society”.
We want to know your reasons for retaining or changing this name and, if you believe that there should be a name change, please suggest alternatives.
B. Standing Committees.
Let us know what kind of Committees you think should be established for the efficient functioning of the Society.
To assist, we have placed a copy of the Constitution in the Principal’s Office at Harrison College, the Harrison College Library and here.
If you would like us to email you a copy of the Constitution, please send your request to ohsconstitution@gmail.com. You may also contact our Secretary, Mr. Monty Barrow at 426-5077(w) or 437-0353(h) for a copy.
